As a child, Charlie Hadfield loved pictures that were full of wonder, colour and friendly characters. It became her dream to create such pictures herself, so she went on to study Graphic Design at university, incorporating illustration and animation into her work. Since then, she has been creating images that would fill her childhood self with joy: brimming with colour and life.
Charlie’s inspiration is drawn from the world around her, and she spends a lot of time travelling to experience new places and different cultures. She is also an animal lover, and often makes trips to the local zoo to sketch the animals there, or to the park to sketch (and feed) the squirrels and birdlife.
No matter the subject, Charlie always seeks to push her boundaries and experiment with different styles. Over time, she has discovered that she has a particular passion for creating unique textures, which bring her illustrations and designs to life in three dimensions. This, along with her youthful energetic approach, makes Charlie’s work stand out.
When Charlie isn’t working she loves channeling her creative energy into her other passion for photography, regularly sacrificing sleep to capture the perfect sunrise. Currently Charlie works from home in her studio, with an ‘80s playlist and her dog, Poppy, keeping her company.View Full Bio
