We’re excited to announce that illustrator Magali Mansilla recently joined us here at Advocate! The talented Magali produces art featuring sweet characters and visually pleasant color palettes, making her work perfectly suited for the 0 to 5 age range. If you’d like to see more of her charming illustrations, please visit her online portfolio. She describes her history and inspirations to Advocate below:
“I was born in Argentina, and studied Graphic Design at the University of Buenos Aires. Since 2004 I’ve been working as a freelance illustrator. I’ve participated in individual and group exhibitions in Argentina; my work was selected for the book “When Cows Fly” in The Children’s Books Illustrators Fair in Bologna.
I like to use a variety of techniques, from acrylics and pencils to digital. My work combines the magic of childhood, with dreamlike forms and colors.
In my free time, I love to practice yoga and play the guitar or ukulele. I like to discover new musical groups, and I adore the films of Buster Keaton.”
