"Born in 1969, West county based artist Chris grew up with the beautiful and varied surroundings that have inspired his work. His early artistic inspirations were science fiction, otherworldly landscapes and tin robots. These continue to fire his imagination. Studying at Brunel Technical college, he gained an HNC in graphic design. However he has also had experience in design, typography & in illustration.

He still uses these technical skills for many aspects of his work. Chris has exhibited his aviation paintings at the Carrisbrook gallery in London with the Guild of aviation artists in which he was highly commended. He is also a member of the International Society of Typographic Designers (MISTD). Chris's paintings depict a magical environment to venture in to, sometimes involving depictions of robots in everyday situations. He paints in oils on board, building up thin layers of paint to create luminosity and atmosphere, similar to the techniques of the old masters."
