Valentina has drawn, ever since she could remember. She grew up in Bolzano (Italy) and was just a little chatty child when started telling everyone that she would become an artist or a painter. Even as a teenager she didn’t change the idea to turn her passion for drawing into a job, so she moved to Milan to become an illustrator.
She‘s studied at the European Institute of Design (IED), where she learned a very simple thing: nowadays drawing doesn’t mean just making a good-looking image, but also being able to communicate, spread messages, convey concepts, tell stories and so on.
The favourite part of her job is the Character Design. Someone says that’s because she watches too many cartoons. And it's not too far from the truth. Valentina‘s aim is to create appealing characters in which people can identify themselves through their personalities.
She loves sketching with pencil, but mainly works digitally. She collaborates with different companies in the field of boardgames in Italy and USA and also gets commissions for advertising and editorial projects.
At the moment, Valentina still lives in Milan and is based at Atabaliba, a creative studio of freelancers where her main task is to get rid of all the biscuits. “I’m proud to be represented in England and USA by Advocate Art Agency.”View Full Bio
