Zuriñe was born 39 years ago in Vitoria, Basque Country (Spain), on 24th December of 1976. She grew up in the North‘s fresh air – in Vitoria, and now lives in the warm South – in Seville.
Colours and forms have always attracted Zuriñe. Some of her inspirations include Salvador Dalí, Klimt, Botero. She likes drawing, indian ink, textures, textile design, children books, comics, and more.
She studied Interior Design in Vitoria (Spain), acquiring Masters Degree in Web Design in Toulouse (France) and has just finished a Postgraduate Studies in Digital and Print Production (Spain). However, nobody taught her to illustrate...
Zuriñe likes using many colours, but always from the same palette. Her illustrations are pictorial and with volume. She likes inventing characters! She loves to play with the silence and the noises in illustrations and with the white space and details. She loves discovering new places and cities and multiracial people because that inspires her to create new illustrations.
