Beatriz Castro was born on September 19, 1985, in Logroño, La Rioja, Spain. When she was a little girl, she was always drawing and was writing fantastic stories. She studied at the school of arts in her native town, Logroño. After graduating in Illustration from there in 2008, she embarked on a career as a professional illustrator.  Her books have been published by many international publishing houses: Anaya (Spain), Ediciones SM (Spain), Oxford University Press (Spain and England), Usborne (England), Harper Collins (England), Auzou (France), and Rovio (Finland).
