Adding another amazing artist to our roster, Advocate's newly signed Vero Rodriquez! Vero has the versatility of being talented in using her own unique palette as well as being able to create visually appealing images in black and white. For these reason's she'd be excellent for children's and young adult books. If you want to see more of her work, take a look at her portfolio. She describes herself as follows:
"Hi! My name is Vero Rodríguez and I'm an illustrator. I was born in Santiago de Chile in 1982 and I grew up in a house full of books, comics and pencils. I graduated from Graphic Design (Universidad Católica de Chile) in 2008. While finishing my studies, I attended an illustration workshop taught by Alberto Montt and Francisco J. Olea; it was an amazing experience where I found out my passion for illustration. Since then I can't stop drawing.
I mainly work with watercolours and pencils. I also make digital images with my laptop and Wacom Intuos tablet. I am co-author of the book Sótano and the creator of Me pasa a veces blog and a book. I have also illustrated children's books for Zig-Zag, SM Ediciones and Amanuta editorials.
I love to work on book projects for children and young people and I love tea, chocolates and spring."
