2 Nominees for Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2018! Feb 07 2018News
We are incredibly excited to announce that 2 books illustrated by our talented artists, Erica Salcedo and Beatriz Castro, made the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2018 shortlist! Each year, Waterstones selects a handful of titles from the many thousands of published children's books to include on their shortlists which are their "annual showcase of the very best emerging talent in children's publishing."
Published in the summer of 2017, Kid Normal, illustrated by Erica Salcedo, became a favorite for many young readers. This book tells the story of Murph Cooper who finds himself enrolled in a school for superheroes! You can read more about this incredible story on our blog.
Another fantastic book which has been nominated for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2018 is Nevermoor: The Trials of Morigan Crow, illustrated by Beatriz Castro. This beautifully written book was also recently picked up by 20th Century Fox to be made into a feature film - stay tuned!
It's no surprise that these two inspirational stories made it on the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2018 shortlist and we can't wait to find out which title is selected as this year's winner! On March 22nd the winner for each category will be announced so be sure to check back in to see which fabulous children's book illustrator will be taking home the prize!
