Advocate Art acquires Art & Design Licensing; Strengthens its position in the German Art Licensing industry Aug 19 2019

Advocate Art, the leading specialist art agency is expanding its international leading position in the art licensing market with its purchase of Art & Design Licensing Gmbh, the former Frankfurt based licensing agency.

The announcement was made in January 2019 by Edward Burns, CEO, Advocate Art, who initiated and led the acquisition along with Mrs. Antje Jentsch, former owner of Art & Design Licensing. The company remains the same, and all business and existing agreements are now being handled by the agency’s European headquarters, Advocate Art SL.

With this takeover, Advocate Art’s aim is to better serve the European market by strengthening its position in the German Art Licensing industry through an ever expanding team of local agents that will meet the demands of the Global and local markets they are currently working in, as well as, through the representation of some of the most sought after European and international artists below that have joined Advocate to produce decorative work to commission or license.

Franz Heigl- one of the most renowned and sold painters in Germany with over 800 pieces of art highly praised within the licensing industry reflecting traditional motifs such as still lifes and rural landscapes.

Hans Paus - is a brilliant self-taught Dutch artist who strives for poetic impressions. His artwork reflects vivid colours and efficient lighting effects inspired by open landscapes, particularly seascapes which display dramatic contrasts and skylines.

Jacqueline Stanhope - one of the world’s finest equestrian and portrait artists conceals a broader fascination with the natural world and a lifelong love of animals. Her artwork reflects delicate brush strokes filled with soft textures, fine detail and a mesmerizing atmosphere.

Kat Kalindi - is our on trend and super quirky illustrator and surface pattern designer from the sunny Gold Coast, Australia. Her designs offer a great balance between bright, vibrant, muted and earthy tones, perfectly suited for greeting cards, stationery and other licensing products.
