Jenny Wren Spotlight Jan 20 2020

Meet the artists

Spotlight - Jenny Wren!

Jenny arrived at Advocate in 2013 and has since filled our portfolios with beautiful images of jungles, lovely maps, many varieties of animals, and stunning floral card designs. She cleverly spans greeting cards and book illustration, making her a versatile favorite.

"Currently really enjoying my first big project of 2020, a wild world and a city activity book duo for Arcturus publishing."

She has created illustrations for various book publishers including Usborne publishing, Paragon, Caterpillar books, Igloo books, Lake press, WHSmith, Papyrus and Hallmark.

"My absolute fave projects are those based on animals or buildings, I love creating maps and little icons too, although they take a while to do, I find them really enjoyable. They tend to end up quite decorative so maybe that's why I like doing them."

As well as producing artwork for book projects, Jenny also loves to design greetings cards, her designs are trend-led, and cover all occasions, male and female - Being our go-to artist all year around.

"I love creating greetings cards from trend boards, there is so much freedom and room for interpretation, and it's the kind of thing I can work on to my own timescale which is helpful with young children."

Jenny is a busy Mum of humans and 3 furry animals, which keep her entertained and inspired! She works from home from the historic cathedral city of Lichfield in Staffordshire. She was born in Bromsgrove in 1987 - before moving to London - then settling down back in the Midlands.

"I love interiors and all kinds of design, we are currently in the midst of restoring our 1910 house so I'm always on the look out for ideas and inspiration."

Thank you Jenny !
