Artist review - Lizzie Walkley Jan 22 2020Featured Artists
Currently ranked as one of our Top 10 artists, Lizzie Walkley is a favourite across all of our publishing clients! Lizzie graduated with an illustration degree back in 2004, and since then has built up a career working in-house for greeting card companies which helped her make her style adaptable across greeting cards, and now in book work too.
Lizzie works from her home studio in Gloucestershire, and she has been represented by Advocate-Art since 2014. During that time, she has built up a commercial portfolio and worked with clients like Jellycat Limited, Design House Greetings, Karmuka Ltd, Harper Collins and Hallmark.
Whilst Lizzie’s style is created digitally, her ability to bring adventure, whimsical expressions and emotion to her work never fails and makes her work perfect for beautiful picture books. Not only are Lizzie’s characters sweet and playful, she is great at bringing diversity into her characters too, which have been the perfect fit for stories based around emotions, mindfulness and families.
Here at Advocate, we can’t get enough of seeing Lizzie’s work, and currently she’s working on a brand new piece for the new publishing portfolios we’ll be bringing out. She’s also just finished a recent project with Jellycat so be sure to be on the look out for that!
