Pope Twins x The People's Picture Jul 08 2020
Samples and spottedThe Pope Twins have been a shining ray of light in Advocate Art's roster for nearly 20 years. Last month saw their wonderfully optimistic art immortalised by The People’s Picture in a project entitled ‘Rainbows for the NHS’.
The piece is a giant interactive ‘mosaic of hope’ made up of thousands of pictures and stories submitted during the COVID-19 pandemic. The project launched at a gigantic scale on London’s Piccadilly Lights on 22nd June 2020 with the final artwork now available as an interactive online exhibition to celebrate the 72nd birthday of the NHS.
It will become a legacy piece for the NHS.
The work will be shown nationally both in digital and print form across locations such as Bluewater London, Trinity Leeds, St Davids Cardiff, Westgate Oxford, White Rose Yorkshire, One New Change Lewisham and the Buchanan Galleries, Glasgow.
We’re incredibly proud of the Pope Twins for being a part of such a legacy piece for the NHS. We’ve even received a photo from a lady who works at London Royal Hospital, Whitechapel proudly brandishing the artwork (Pope Twin’s print in the red frame) The print now hangs inside the hospital to make both staff and patients smile.
