Introducing Chris Herriot Oct 26 2021Meet the agents
Advocate Art is pleased to introduce another talented agent: Chris Herriot! Based on the sunny south coast in Brighton, Chris has a background in the arts, first as an actor, then as a writer and producer. This led him to work as a voice over agent for TV and film production companies. During this time he worked with celebrities on various projects for advertising agencies and television production companies, including a Nike commercial for the World Cup, high-end content for Jaguar Land Rover and the remake of the iconic Thunderbirds Are Go.
Working on projects like these, Chris has over 5 years of experience working directly with advertising agencies and brands, and that's where his passion lies. He loves mediating between artist and client, discovering new clients and delivering high quality projects!
As our leading agent in the advertising industry, we asked him a few questions about his role:
Why did you become an illustration agent?
Having been an agent before, I missed working with artists and clients on a daily basis.
What do you love most about your work?
I love the moment when I receive a new and exciting client brief and know which artists to suggest.
What do you hope to achieve here at Advocate?
Since I focus on agency and branding projects, my dream is to see our artists working on billboards and TV commercials.
What have you been up to lately?
Lately I've been working on editorial projects for the Washington Post, The New Yorker and on advertising projects for Pantechnicon, as well as an animation project for Dycem on Collaborate.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I'm a big fan and in the summer I play for a team called Firle, which I captain. Outside of cricket, I like to spend time with my son in nature, we go camping, fishing, fly kites etc. As a former actor, I also love the theatre and going to the cinema.
