Barefoot Books Features Martina Peluso in 30th Anniversary Show! Oct 18 2022

Advocate Agent, Vickie Savanella, headed to West Concord, Massachusetts to celebrate the kickoff of Barefoot Books' month-long 30th-anniversary exhibition entitled 30 Artist in 30 years. The brightly decorated event space within the Umbrella Arts Center celebrated diversity and inclusion in an evening filled with friendly smiles and good conversation.

Among the 30 selected artists was our very own Martina Peluso, who's rich illustrations from her latest Barefoot Books publication, Harvest Days, were on display. Barefoot Books is a proud partner of Raising a Reader Massachusetts, an early literacy family engagement organization that helps under-resourced families develop home reading routines and gain access to books while assuring that kids in need learn how to read.

The exhibition ran for the month of September and featured an array of family-friendly literary events throughout the month. Among the events were readings, scavenger hunts, and theatrical performances.

Limited edition prints of the featured illustrations were made available for purchase throughout the month. The event was a huge success and Martina's work was very well received! Advocate Art would like to extend a big congratulations to Barefoot Books and our talented Illustrator, Martina Pelusso! Here's to 30 more years of literary success!
