Erin Tisdel's Most Memorable Projects of 2022 Dec 21 2022
Meet the agentsIt has been a magnificent year for Advocate Art and our illustrators. We have been fortunate enough to work with our illustrators on many wonderful projects from books, to games, puzzles, and even a tarot card deck. This year we were also lucky enough to work on many projects with a focus on diversity and inclusion, something we hope continues in the future. To celebrate all of these wonderful projects, we asked our agents to pick their top five. It is always very hard to pick, but here are Erin’s top projects released in 2022, and why each project is special to her.
Illustrator: Nathalia Rivera
Publisher: DaySpring
“This book is Nathalia’s first published work, and it is beautiful!”
Illustrator: Alejandra Barajas
Publisher: Beaming Books
“It is great to see a children's book with a non-binary main character, I felt it was an important project, and I am so happy I got to be a part of it.”
3. Search for the Astral Dragon
Illustrator: Laura Tolton
Publisher: Tyndale
“It was so great to work on a YA cover like this. I hope to do more projects like this in the future!”
4. Discover Graphics: Global Folktales Series
Illustrators: Arief Putra, Antonella Fant, Fabiana Faiallo, and Cesar Samaniego
Publisher: Capstone
“This project is a graphic novel series aimed at a young audience that tells folktales from different cultures. This was the youngest graphic novel project I have worked on and gave multiple of our illustrators the chance to try paneling.”
5. Black Swans
Illustrator: Sawyer Cloud
Publisher: Sunbird Books
“This was an amazing non-fiction story about six Black dancers breaking into ballet! It was also a pleasure to work with Sawyer, who is one of my closest illustrators, who has many more exciting projects coming soon!”
