Artist Feature - Estelle Corke Jun 11 2015

Our featured artist today is our own Estelle Corke and her beautiful illustrations for book publishing and greeting cards. Estelle's characters and the worlds they inhabit have a magical touch which will delight children, while the warmth and nostalgia of her work will charm parents. I have had quite a mixture of exciting projects over the last couple of years since joining the team at Advocate. The strongest theme being family relationship based; with both human characters and animals!Three books of this genre  just out this spring, 'Twinkle Twinkle, I love You ', published by Little Tiger Tales, 'Where's my Hug' published by Guideposts and 'Mamma's Right Here', published by Starbright books.

My time with Advocate has also coincided with  a move to the countryside into a house that needs 'sorting out'! an ongoing and large project; but made enjoyable with a new puppy ( who I'm sneaking into the baking book) and close proximity to the canal path, river and great 'eaty' places!

 I'm currently working on a big religious title that will keep me busy, thanks to Advocate and some fun titles involving ponies, dancing and baking; both in my gouache style and my increasingly popular watercolour style.
