Debbie Edwards

Debbie has been designing and illustrating for the greeting card, craft and wall art industry for the last 6 years and was a finalist in the Louie Awards 2018 (Greeting Card Association). She enjoys creating designs with feminine themes, in a decorative style and is constantly inspired by nature, often pottering around her mum’s large garden looking for flowers and foliage to draw and paint. Her love of nature began on the Angora Goat farm in Australia where she grew up, that had a menagerie of animals including at one stage 5 cats and 4 dogs. Dinnertime for the pets was a little bit like the running of the bulls! She loved being in the country, but moved to the city to study fine art and design at Monash University. As well as living in Melbourne, her favourite adventure was living in London for six years, where she met so many people from different parts of the world and was lucky enough to travel to some of the most beautiful places in the UK and other countries. Her illustrations feature flowers that came from Monet’s Garden, Egyptian Temples, Byron’s House, Madeira’s Flower Festival and Beatrix Potter’s Cottage. Debbie is so grateful to Advocate Art for all their amazing support and for giving her the opportunity to showcase her work.View Full Bio
