Erica Salcedo is an illustrator, born and raised in Cuenca, Spain. She graduated from Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha with a degree in Fine Arts, before pursuing a Master’s degree in graphic design and illustration from Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. Erica discovered her passion for children’s illustration while studying for her master's. Erica creates her illustrations digitally in Adobe Photoshop. Her illustrations and characters always have a pinch of humor, with colorful scenes filled with small, funny details that give the whole piece a unique personality. Throughout her career, Erica has had the opportunity to work with many publishers around the world, including in Spain, Great Britain, and North America. In 2018 her work for the series “Kid Normal” was selected by the Junior Library Guild and nominated for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize. Erica has spent the past twelve years drawing and drinking tea, and she hopes to work on many new, exciting projects.View Full Bio
