Hello, I am Erica. I am an illustrator, born and raised in Cuenca, Spain. I graduated from Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha with a degree in Fine Arts, before pursuing a Master’s degree in graphic design and illustration from Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. I discovered my passion for children’s illustration while studying for my master’s.
I create my illustrations digitally in Adobe Photoshop. My illustrations and characters always have a pinch of humor, with colorful scenes filled with small, funny details that give each piece a unique personality. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with many publishers around the world, including in Spain, Great Britain, and North America. In 2018, my work for the series Kid Normal was selected by the Junior Library Guild and nominated for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize. I have spent the past twelve years drawing and drinking tea, and I hope to work on many new, exciting projects.
