At Advocate Art, we love to celebrate our amazing artists. Fabrizio Di Baldo is one of them.

Fabrizio was born in Rome, Italy, in 1975.

He graduated in 2001 with a thesis concerning the semiotics of the image. In the following years he obtained a first postgraduate as illustrator at the “Comics International School” and a second postgraduate in Graphic Design at the “European Design Institute”.

For his artworks, he takes his personal inspirations from his favorite artists like Hayao Miyazaki, Daisuke Igarashi, Tove Jansson, Shaun Tan, Benjamin Lacombe and Lisbeth Zwerger. He generally prefers dreamlike scenarios, fairytales and especially subjects dealing with the sea-life. For his artwork, he mostly makes use of pencils and computer graphic.

He loves listening to music during working time, like Hisaishi, Bjork, My Brightest Diamond, Tchaicovsky and Tartini.

In his free time, he goes to swim twice a week and in summertime he usually enjoys traveling in Asia.
