Born in Leeds Harrison started his early career off in advertising and illustration lasting several years were he developed a vast amount of skills in commercial illustration. Following on from this he went on to work for Hallmark where for over a decade was able to enhance his skills and develop many new styles, which proved to be a great foundation for his future work. After many successful years working with greeting cards he then decided to become a freelance illustrator to explore other avenue’s in commercial and fine art. Becoming a freelance illustrator, Harrison was able to work in many different mediums and techniques but after being introduced to watercolour, he was instantly hooked. This medium allows him to create lots of movement and fluidity using spontaneous brush strokes, which in time has defined his style. Living on the doorstep of a beautiful park, he is never short of first hand inspiration to transfer into his work, from walking his daughter round the lake to having a kick about with his sons — there seems to be an everlasting amount of new and exciting material that can be explored. Harrison is forever evolving, keeping updated on the latest trends and creating the highest quality of artwork for his products. Working with short deadlines he can work at great pace but ensure the very best quality for all his clients.
