Here at Advocate Art, we consider ourselves "Hyper Glo-cal" meaning that we are globally local to all of our clients. Whilst our UK Advocate headquarters are based in South London, we have agents covering clients in the North, South, East, and West of England, all within easy reach of our clients! We are now more than ever looking forward to catching up with our clients when safe to do so!
So let's hear more about these Agents, shall we!
First up we have our UK manager Harry:
I grew up in Warwickshire, a stone's throw from the 'Heart of England’ and nestled between castles and countryside. I’ve spent the last 10 years or so in South London, slowly moving from East to West and now live on the edge of Tooting Common. You can often find me having a cold after-work dip in the Lido, strolling through Wimbledon common or picking up a pint at our local brewery, Belleville.
On weekends I’m often off rambling through the Surrey Hills and beyond, boring my partner with historical sites and National Trust properties or searching for a Village pub to have a large, warm pint of Bitter, Lavly.
I spent 7 years as a freelance illustrator before becoming an Agent and then the Manager of Advocate Art Ltd. I like to think that gives me a little insider knowledge on both sides of the illustration world! I still dabble with a pencil here and there but now revel in seeing other artists work progress and their careers flourish. There’s so much great work out there!
Next up we have Bhavi our senior Sales Agent & Art Director:
I'm from the not-so-small and quite multicultural town of Harrow originally. I'm semi-fluent in Gujarati and Hindi and I manage most of the UK based clients, and a few overseas. I love the outdoors, so you're more likely to find me walking or doing Yoga in my local park. My favourite part of Harrow is the old town of Harrow on the Hill with it's cute row of cottages with different pastel coloured doors, the cobblestone roads and the bold architecture of the Church and Harrow School. There's a lovely viewpoint at the top of the hill where you can overlook the City of London. There's also a vintage cafe called the Doll's House on the Hill, which quite literally is a life-sized doll house! (They also do the best afternoon tea!)
Next Alexina, she's our Senior Agent for SL & LTD, based out of Brussels !
Recently Alexina moved back to her home country of Belgium, shes bilingual (English and French) and manages accounts for our French, Belgian and Dutch clients, as well as some of our London-based clients. Her hobbies include drawing, screenprinting and Muay Thai. Her favourite things to do in Brussels include checking out local exhibitions and discovering new beers (as well as meeting some of our Belgian artists!).
Last but not least we have Will, our Specialist Licensing & Design Agent covering London and the North of England !
Originally from the rolling hills of Yorkshire but living in London, i’m happiest immersed in Nature, whether i’m cycling or more recently rock climbing!
I currently live in South West London, where you will most likely find me cruising through Richmond Park or exploring Surrey on my bike, with friends down the local climbing wall, or ticking off a new London pub - my favourite pub being the Roebuck in Richmond!
I spend my time between Yorkshire and London, swapping the fast-paced bustle for the simpler country life, hiking, wild swimming and exploring. I am also an illustrator and artist, who loves drawing mushrooms.
My favorite area of Yorkshire is the Dales (in the summer*) the Wensleydale cheese factory is a must - there's free samples :-)
