Jimena Sanchez Sarquiz

I'm available! I'd love to hear about your project.
Jimena is an illustrator from Mexico City, illustrating text books, graphic novels and fiction books. She’s been teaching almost as long as she has been working. She’s especially proud of the illustration courses she developed for Domestika - an online learning platform, and has created work them, and other clients including: Stone Arch Books, Cappelen Damn, Edelvives, Edebé, Editorial Norma, Macmillan, Pearson and Televisa. At age 10 she found herself attending her grandmother’s oil painting class, where she developed a love for painting. She graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico with a degree in Visual Communication and a post-graduate certificate in Children’s Illustration from EINA Barcelona. At the moment, she is enjoying working in Procreate and Photoshop as well as painting with acrylics, but Jimena’s curious nature means she is always willing to try new mediums and software. Jimena strives to make people smile with her artwork. She loves adventures with relatable characters that don’t take themselves too seriously. In her free time Jimena likes to explore the city looking for inspiration. You can mostly find her on her couch with a fantasy book or a scary video game, or at the park with her dog and her sketchbook.View Full Bio
