Howdy! I'm Kacey Barton, a Texas based artist that works digitally in a range of styles from realistic to more cartoonish, driven by a passion for wildlife education. I believe in the power of art to connect people with nature and that animals in art are a valuable storytelling tool which people can see themselves represented in and be more open minded with. By introducing others to animals they may have never seen before, I hope to spark curiosity and care for our planet's diverse inhabitants.

I strive to closely communicate with clients, collaborating with them to help make their vision come to life. With a background in being a TEFL and ESL tutor I appreciate the significance of visual clarity in educational projects while still having a keen eye for detail and storytelling. For me, every project starts with getting into a creative flow to explore ideas whether that is character design for fictional ventures or subject stylization for non-fictional endeavors.

Growing up immersed in animated media, animal documentaries and illustrated books, drawing animals became an outlet of self-expression and understanding. Even now I still draw inspiration from those same childhood sources which now include videogames, YA fiction, and my cats. When I'm not drawing I can often be found baking, reading or relaxing with my partner and two cats at home.
