David was born in Colombia but grew up in Argentina. His work is fueled by his passion for nature in all its forms, colours, and magnitudes, trying to connect it with the art world, emphasizing natural processes pictured with abstract thinking. David started his career in science, firstly studying genetics and then obtaining a PhD in immunology. He has always been interested in visually communicating scientific knowledge, which is why he later decided to follow a Master’s degree in scientific illustration. He now lives in Canada with his two dogs and his wife, delving into the scientific field.
