New Signed Artist - Pedro Riquelme Jan 14 2019新簽約的插畫家
Here at Advocate-Art, our agents are great at spotting good talent and artists, and this week, we're so proud to show off Pedro Riquelme who has just joined our agency! Pedro joins our group of Great Available Artists, specialising in children's book publishing. His expressive colours, atmospheric tones, clever use of light and shadow, combined with his attention to detail, not only makes him the perfect illustrator to join our Middle Grade category, perfect for readers aged 5 years to Young Adult, but also a great story teller!
Want to see more of Pedro's work? Enjoy scrolling through the images above, and be sure to also check out his online Advocate portfolio. If you'd like to know more about Pedro, you can read through his short biography below too. Our agents love promoting our artists, so if you have an upcoming project that you think Pedro would be suitable for, get in touch to arrange a meeting with us!
"My name is Pedro Riquelme and I was born in 1995 in Málaga, Spain, where I have been living all my life with my family. We have a pet, a black cat named Toulouse. This fact is more important that you think. Toulouse-Lautrec is the name of one of the best-known artists of the 20th century, which shows that I have been always interested in art. This made me study Fine Arts here, in Málaga. Therefore you can imagine what kind of hobbies I have. However, I also spend my time doing less boring things than looking at old paintings. I really love the cinema. If I wasn't an illustrator, I would like to work as a film director, creating my own stories and showing it on the big screen. Nevertheless, I think my work is similar to that. For me, to illustrate is to tell little or big stories only with images. Don't you think?"
