Available Artist - Maja Andersen Feb 19 2019新簽約的插畫家
This week's available book artist is the wonderful Maja Andersen! Maja has recently joined Advocate-Art after an impressive career working with Hallmark in the USA. Now that she is a freelance artist, her main focus is working on illustrations for children's publishing, especially for readers aged 0-5. Her vibrant colours and expressive characters make her illustrations come to life, whilst giving off that whimsical feel.
Maja also has experience designing for greeting's cards, which make her an equally good artist for Art Licensing. Her designs have featured on Birthday, Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day and many more occasion cards! Enjoy the images above, but if you'd like to see more artwork by this talented artist, check out her online portfolio. You can learn more about Maja but reading her short biography below too.
Got an upcoming project you think Maja would be suitable for? Get in touch with one of our artist agents today and we'd be happy to meet with you and discuss more!
"I was born and raised in the U.S. to danish parents, so of coarse I grew up speaking danglish! When I was young, I was given the danish version of “Pippi Longstocking” illustrated by Ingrid Van Nyman. Nyman’s illustrations have been an inspiration to me ever since. After graduating with a BFA from the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio, I took a job with Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, Missouri. While at Hallmark, I illustrated a variety of greeting cards which included dimensional pop-fold cards. My illustrations also appeared on gift books, packaging and apparel. I recently left Hallmark to pursue freelance illustration. My style of artwork is whimsical in subject matter and textured graphic in style. I also enjoy drawing in line-work with limited colour. My inspiration comes from international folk art. My hobbies include drawing on cocktail napkins, flamenco dance lessons and cats!"
