Artist Feature - Manuela Berti Feb 18 2014
Meet the artistsToday I want to introduce you to our new signed artist, Manuela Berti who just joins us this year. Bright colour palette with the sense of humour that Manuela brings makes her illustration so fun to look at! Here at Advocate Art, we are all very excited to watch as she embarks a successful career as a children's book illustrator. For more of Manuela's work, check out the site or contact [email protected] for specific requests/commissions and samples. I was born in 1984 in Monza, a city near Milan in italy. I lived there for 20 years studying Art at the Art Academy and GraphicDesign at the Rizzoli Institute. In 2003 I made my bags and I moved to Rome , where I attended a 2DAnimation School and I worked in an animation studio. My works are all inspired by my love through the animals ( I have a dog and his name is Claus ) and the people I love, I like to take long walks listening to my mp3 and see people around , that really inspires me ! I think that if I wasn't an illustrator I would become a farmer, living in a big farm full of animals surrounded by trees and flowers...well, who knows, maybe one day ! Now I live in Monza where I work as illustrator and character designer , reading a lot of books and cooking all kind of sweets !
