Hi! I'm Alessandra Vitelli, an illustrator living in Naples. My style is versatile, ranging from traditional to digital art, with a touch of irony and humor that I love to infuse into my work to make readers smile. Besides illustration, I'm passionate about photography and typography, and this love influences the way I compose images. When I'm not working, I love traveling, reading, going to the theater, and enjoying movies and TV series.
In 2016, I was selected for the In Illustrator 58 Annual of the Society of Illustrators of New York and the In Illustrator Annual 2018 of the AOI. I collaborate annually with the Teatro Bellini in Naples and the museums of my city for cultural exhibitions. Every job I accept is special to me: the golden rule is to always have fun while drawing. I'm known for creating dynamic and colorful compositions, and I enjoy adding humorous elements and hand-lettering to my projects. Since 2013, I've been teaching at the Italian School of Comix, where my passion for comics began. My educational journey.
Since I was a child, I've dreamed of illustrating books, and my determination has led me to specialize in children's publishing. I love immersing myself in the text I want to illustrate, searching for inspiration everywhere, until I create a mood board that inspires me to bring characters and scenes to life. My cheerful family, consisting of my partner, two children, and two affectionate yet mischievous cats, are the primary inspiration for my work.
