Hi, I’m Arantza Valdivia, a Peruvian illustrator passionate about creating expressive, character-driven illustrations with a whimsical and humorous tone. I blend digital and traditional techniques to bring stories and characters to life. My work is inspired by everything that sparked my curiosity as a child, as well as books and films, and is rooted in storytelling and imagination.
Some of my favorite projects include my reinterpretation of The Canterville Ghost and my work on The Angry Red Troll, where I explore themes of empathy and connection through fantastical settings. I hold a BFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and my background in concept art for animation and games has strengthened my storytelling approach, helping ensure each piece reflects the heart of the narrative.
I aim to create illustrations that connect with people, spark imagination, and strike a balance between humor, kindness, and understanding.
