Hello there, I'm Daniela Massironi, an illustrator based in Milan, Italy. With a background in graphic design, my work ranges from simple, vector-like illustrations to more painterly digital styles. I adore all things cute and sweet, aiming to spread joy, warmth, and simple happiness through my art. I also love bringing my characters to life beyond the page, turning them into soft toys, puppets, or small ceramic figures.
One of my cherished projects was illustrating a Winnie the Pooh book series for Cottage Door Press. Earlier in my career, during my graphic design years in London, I worked on a Pooh collection with the original E. H. Shepard art, so creating my own version of this character truly felt like a gift. Clients appreciate the sweetness and attention to detail in my work, often praising the joyfulness of my characters. I approach each project with care, drawing on my graphic design expertise to ensure thoughtfulness, consistency, and genuine enthusiasm shine through.
As a child, I was enchanted by illustrated books and Disney films, which sparked my love for art. I seek inspiration in bookshops and museums, where visual inspiration is everywhere, from stories to art. When I’m not creating, I recharge by strolling through the city or spending time in nature. My ultimate goal is to bring joy to children through my illustrations, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and gentle warmth. In my downtime, I’m usually joined by my fluffy white cat, Happy, always by my side bringing joy and company.
