Hi there! My name is Ela Smietanka and I am a Polish illustrator. My adventure with drawings started when I was a little girl. In order to make my dreams come true, I graduated from the Faculty of Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, where I now live with my husband, two sons, a cat named Zuzia, and some other cats from the neighbourhood. In my work I combine pencils, paints and Photoshop, happily discovering again and again new digital techniques.
When I am preparing draft illustrations, I listen to audiobooks, and with a good novel I may work until dawn. In my free time, I like to cycle listening to energetic music. If I were to choose a job other than an illustrator, I would be a dancer.
