Hello, I'm Fiona Osbaldstone, a Kent-based artist with a passion for realistic and traditional art. Working mainly in watercolours and occasionally acrylics, I also dabble in digital art for special effects. What sets my work apart is the attention to detail and the love for creating by hand. In addition to painting, pottery has become a mindful outlet that adds a new dimension to my artistic expression.

While I haven't actively sought out opportunities, my illustrations have found their way to notable places like Chester Zoo, Country Life Magazine and BBC books and magazines. Collaborating with authors to bring their stories to life through my art has been a rewarding experience. With a background in art from the Kent Institute of Art and Design, I meticulously craft detailed and colourful illustrations that are not only visually appealing but also lend themselves well to mediums like jigsaw puzzles and illustrated books and encyclopaedia.

My artistic journey has been shaped by childhood inspirations like Beatrix Potter and admired artists such as David Shepherd and Norman Rockwell. Drawing from everyday life and nature, I find inspiration in exploring bookshops, galleries, and cozy coffee shops with a sketchbook in hand. When not immersed in art, you can find me enjoying leisurely walks in the countryside, discovering new places, savoring pub lunches, and browsing through craft fairs. Each experience adds a touch of creativity to my work, reflecting the joy and beauty found in everyday moments.
