Hi, I'm Jacqui Davis, a South African-born artist currently living in leafy Lytham St. Annes, England. My art is a combination colour and semi-realism, a blend inspired by passion for 2D animation. Clients enjoy the lighting and colour unique to my style. When I'm not busy painting, you'll find building a fantasy setting I've co-created with an artist friend since 2007.

As a seasoned artist, I've garnered recognition for my work, from winning BBNYA's cover contest and being featured in IBA Volume 11. My recent project includes contributing to the successful Steamforged Games reprint of Terra Mystica, which raised a staggering £1 million on Gamefound. With a BA (Hons) in 2D Animation I have continued my study with mentorships under esteemed artists like Scott Fischer, Greg Manchess, Cynthia Sheppard and Paul Scott Canavan. Collaborating closely with clients and art directors, I bring illustrations to life through a process that involves starting with rough pen sketches, photographic reference (usually of myself, unless I can find a willing model) and and careful rendering.

A perfect Sunday for me involves in a cozy reading session, a stroll through the woods, a stop for coffee and a bit of creative writing. (I'm an outsidey, not outdoorsey kind of lady.) Beyond art, I take care of my numerous houseplants and little garden. Ultimately, I'd like to be remembered for the stories told through my art.
