Hello there! I'm Jason Millet, a dedicated illustrator and sketch artist who has created artwork for clients all over the world. My artistry lies in creating a unique fusion of cartooned realism in my illustrations, comics, storyboarding for TV, film, and advertising. You'll find the vitality of digital art, the warmth of oil painting, the versatility of acrylic, and the precision of pen ink in my work. What defines my technique is a distinct blend of various color approaches, and a painterly line inspired by the great illustrators of the 50s to the 70s.
Throughout my career, I've had exceptional opportunities to bring my vision to life in a myriad of ways. My work on the recent edition of George Orwell's 1984 fills me with pride, and being able to storyboard nearly the entire feature film, Captive State, broadened my horizons in a remarkable way. My creative journey led me to study at prestigious institutions like the American Academy of Art in Chicago and the Art Students League in NYC. My strength lies in drawing evocative characters and communicating effectively to respond to the needs of any project.
At the heart of my artistic drive is my love for comics, animation and classic illustration. My treasure trove of books featuring my favorite artists offer me solutions and inspiration, especially during the most pressing of deadlines. Traveling and absorbing the artistry present in museums around the world also boosts my creativity. My life outside the canvas is equally vibrant; as a dear husband, a loving father to my daughter, and a pet parent to Barb, my feline companion, I aim to perpetually grow and learn as a person and an artist. Infusing my love for life into my art, I believe, is what gives it its unique touch.
