Hello there! I’m Jimena Sanchez Sarquiz, a Mexico City native with a passion for creating quirky cartoon-style art that aims to bring a smile to people's faces. My art journey began as a way to connect with others in a world where feeling different was isolating. Through my playful characters and whimsical storytelling, I strive to offer a sense of belonging to those who, like me, seek solace and joy in the world of art, books, and games.

Graduating at the top of my class with a degree in Visual Communication, I have honed my craft by constantly experimenting and pushing the boundaries of my style. Whether diving into the world of video games, teaching illustration, or crafting monthly comics for Highlights Magazine, each project allows me to infuse humor and creativity into my work. My clients appreciate my methodical approach, effective communication, and the fun, lively essence my characters exude, making each collaboration a delightful experience.

Away from my drawing board, I draw inspiration from everyday life, whether strolling through farmers markets, playing with my beloved whippet Shaina, or immersing myself in the adventures of tabletop role-playing games. I find joy in creating art that resonates with personal experiences and the simple pleasures of life.
