Hello there! I'm Lara Skinner, a versatile artist who finesses every stroke with an eclectic charm. Born and nurtured in Leicester, my creative roots journeyed through London and are now comfortably nested in beautiful North Devon. My canvas of choice? It has to be Photoshop because I love mixing illustrative and photographic elements, garnishing them with rich layers and sprinklings of ornaments. My portfolio is like an all-you-can-eat buffet, from greeting cards and puzzles to fabric designs, stationery, wall art and the stimulating realm of adult colouring books. Oh and for nourishing my creativity, nothing beats a dose of yoga, swimming, gardening or a long walk.

Speaking of versatility, I'm one of those rare species of artists who can work with Wentworth Puzzles and Wallsauce on the same day. You'd think it's quite the jump from creating mind-bending puzzles to awe-inspiring wall murals, and you'd be right. But to me, flexing these creative muscles is what I do best, delivering more than expected, always on time, every time – straight from the simplest of briefs. Apart from my degree in Illustration and Graphic Design from Camberwell College of Arts, my secret sauce – apart from colour theory – includes crazy-fast Photoshop skills and an uncanny knack for accurate visualisations. My designs and I, we walk hand-in-hand, flowing to the rhythm of my favourite tunes.

From endlessly sketching, painting and crafting my childhood away to teasing out intricate murals from my imagination today, art has been my delightful, natural calling. Most days nature inspires me as I either wander along the coast or through the countryside or create art in my garden studio set in the heart of beautiful Devon and occasionally visiting art galleries that set my creative spirits on fire. Sundays, though? They are my peaceful islands in a week of vivid creativity: hearty batch cooking, long walks, a glass of red (or two), and a film to wrap it all up! Someday, I'd love to be remembered not just as the artist who added a dash of vibrance to the world, but also as a kind soul who did.
