Hola, my name is Liliana Perez, an artist based in Valencia. My style can be best described as elegant and whimsical, where I merge personality and character in down-to-earth or in magical settings. Growing up surrounded by the beauty of Valencia, I found my passion for art intertwined with my love for horse riding, sparking my love for drawing unicorns and fantastical creatures.
Illustrating stories from school kids for Pearson's My Twist on a Tale competition was a great project where I brought these teenagers imaginations to life. Skilled in crafting vibrant characters and playing with a sophisticated palette, my university art education provided the foundation for my artistry. Preferring the traditional method, I sketch storyboards on paper first to plot out my illustrations and use that as a guide.
On my weekends I am often drawn to craft stalls, collecting fun trinkets to fill my house with colours. My art is a reflection of the whimsy and wonder that surrounds me, inviting viewers into my own worlds.
