Hello folks! My name is Manuela Estevan. Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and a long-term resident of Asturias, Spain, I'm a keen artist renowned for my dynamic, colorful and textured work, often drawn digitally for professionalism and traditionally for personal oeuvres. I'm a stickler for character palettes and details, subtly dropping hints of their personalities via my designs, often inspired by a mix of fashion and storytelling. My love for 70s and 80s fantastic films and diverse books from all over the world greatly shape the narrative universe I depict visually, intending to represent the diverse world we live in.

I relish participating in local exhibitions and markets, creating bonds with fellow artists and sharing both art and enriching conversations. My association with APIAST, the Association of Asturian Illustrators has fostered myriad opportunities to exhibit my work. One fond collaboration was with “The Asturianer,” a local project aimed at celebrating Asturian culture through monthly illustrations. Acclaimed for delivering quality work quickly, I'm praised by clients for rich color palettes, detailed character design, and narrative illustrations. Completing two years of studies in Illustration, Concept Art, and 3D at Magma School proved instrumental in gaining an in-depth understanding of form language, reflected profoundly in my work.

Drawing my childhood inspiration from animation powerhouses such as Don Bluth, Dreamworks, Disney, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon, I masterfully interweave it with the energy derived from long, daydreaming walks, absorbing other artists' works, and indulgence in books, music, movies, and TV series. Sundays typically find me reading in the morning, followed by cosy afternoons working on personal art projects, in the company of my beloved cat. It's my heartfelt desire to etch my name in the hearts of people through my illustrations, becoming an integral part of treasured childhood memories woven into the tales and books they adored growing up.
