Hello there, I'm Marc Pattenden, a UK-based digital artist living in the gently rolling hills of East Sussex. From scenic landscapes to bustling city architecture, I take everyday experiences and create vibrant, semi-realistic, non-fiction art pieces. My tool of choice is photoshop, where I fuse layers of colour and found textures with an eye for detail to create my unique work. Outside of illustration, I seek inspiration in the countryside that surrounds me, by spending time strolling in art galleries, and through experimenting with digital and film photography.

Before venturing into illustration, I worked as a chef, where I was able to show my creativity through my dishes and where I mastered attention to detail. My work process includes developing detailed rough sketches, upon which I build colour and textures using Photoshop. Known for my reliability, dependability, and commitment to quality, I bring these same values in finishing every piece, ensuring clients receive vivid and colourful art pieces that not only satisfy but inspire.

Ever since I could hold a pencil, I have loved to sketch and draw, a passion that grew from my childhood fascination with picture books. I continually seek inspiration in everything, whether drawing with my children, embracing the tranquility of nature, or wandering through busy city streets. When I'm not creating, you can often find me enjoying lazy Sunday breakfasts with my family, tending to my garden, or cheering on my football team, Brighton and Hove Albion. Kind and always there for others, I am blessed with two wonderful children and a fluffy old and at times slightly grumpy cat, making my world complete on and off the canvas.
