Hello, I’m Maria Brzozowska, a versatile illustrator born in Poland, raised in Turkey, and now living in Germany. My unique style blends hand-painted textures with vector shapes, crafting layered compositions that merge the organic with the graphic. Drawing from my background in contemporary surrealist painting, I infuse my illustrations with a rich sense of atmosphere, symbolism, and poetic visual language. Nature serves as my muse, offering moments of reflection and inspiration that breathe life into my art.

Being recognized as a finalist in esteemed competitions like the Arte Laguna Prize and earning accolades such as the Applied Arts Young Blood Illustration Award have been highlights of my career. I’ve curated captivating solo exhibitions like Magic in Bloom and participated in prestigious group shows across Europe, including the Arte Laguna Prize Exhibition in Venice and The Festival of Illustration in Belgrade. Collaborating on projects like designing a wine label for Marques de Murrieta’s anniversary edition has allowed me to weave storytelling into product design with imagination and depth.

Growing up immersed in creativity with an artist father, I developed a profound appreciation for visual storytelling and magical worlds. Drawing inspiration from literature, cinema, and art, I find beauty and mystery in the simplest of things, fueling my imagination. With a wire-haired miniature dachshund named Kosma by my side, I cherish serene Sundays in nature, reconnecting with the world and nurturing my creativity. Ultimately, I aspire to be remembered as an artist who created safe, enchanting spaces where others could find solace, inspiration, and a gentle escape into the realms of my imagination.
