Hiya, lovely to meet you I’m Millicent Venton! I’m an illustrator based in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside in the South West of England. I create vibrant, textured designs using Procreate and Adobe, blending playful colour with natural brushwork. With over seven years of experience in the greetings card industry, I specialise in crafting original designs inspired by ever-changing fashion trends and pop culture. When I’m not in my home studio, you’ll find me reading, crafting, or volunteering with Let’s Go Girls - a brilliant women’s club in Bath where we build friendships and go on all kinds of fun adventures.
Having produced books for renowned brands like Jellycat and developed my own range of Moonpig cards, I take pride in my work's reliability, attention to detail, and timely delivery. One of my standout projects was my Snugglebooks series with Yoyo Books, where my characters were transformed into cuddly plush versions and showcased at the Bologna Book Fair, which was an experience that affirmed my artistic journey. I specialise in creating playful, textured artwork that blends hand-drawn charm with digital precision. Whether it’s a greetings card, character design, or a storytelling piece, I love combining rich textures, vibrant colours, and thoughtful details to bring ideas to life in a way that feels both fresh and heartfelt.
My love for illustration began in childhood, rooted in the picture books I adored. (Apparently, I refused to let anyone turn the page until I’d carefully studied every single detail!) That curiosity has never really left me. Over the years, my inspirations have grown from endless hours of drawing, crafting, and colouring - plus a healthy dose of cosy Animal Crossing gaming sessions. These days, you’ll often find me treasure hunting in thrift shops, crafting or decorating my junk journal. My goal is to create art that everyone will find joyful, authentic, and full of personality.
