Hi! I'm Pedro Riquelme, an author and illustrator from Málaga, Spain. Although I work digitally, I like my style to have a traditional touch similar to gouache, giving it a vintage yet modern vibe. My passion lies in storytelling through expressive characters that resonate with the audience, making them feel truly alive. Drawing inspiration from History, literature, art, and film, I strive to create projects where children can find comfort and connection, reflecting my own journey of finding solace in art.
Having collaborated with clients worldwide, one of my standout projects includes illustrating two books for Running Press Kids in partnership with Warner Bros for the beloved Scooby-Doo franchise. Beyond books, I enjoy exploring multidimensional art forms like toy design, witnessing my creations come to life in three dimensions. For me, being professional is just as important as being a good artist. My responsibility, attention to detail and ability to understand that each project is different and requires different things, while maintaining my same line of work and recognizable style, is what makes me stand out.
