Hello there, I am Rita Lopes and I am a children’s book illustrator based in Porto, Portugal. My love for storytelling began at age five with The Jungle Book and grew after watching the making of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I am inspired by everyday life and my muse, my dog Joaquim. I have used my art to support local animal shelters. When I am not drawing, I play a princess at children’s parties.
