Hello! I'm Teresa Bellón, an illustrator from Albacete, Spain, now based in Madrid. My art style is naive, vibrant, and infused with humor, created using a tablet that feels like drawing on paper. Mornings are for energetic sketching, while afternoons bring the relaxed joy of coloring. I specialize in bright color palettes, primary hues, and simple geometric shapes, crafting unique settings and characters that reflect my love for films, travel, and the inspiration they bring to my work.
In the exciting world of illustration, I've achieved some notable milestones. As a finalist at the Bologna Children's Book Fair exhibition and The Royal Society Young People's Book Prize, my work has been recognized for its playful charm and artistic depth. One project close to my heart was creating a family map for the Prado Museum, blending my passions for illustration and art history. Ensuring timely project delivery is crucial to me, along with infusing humor into my illustrations to add a touch of whimsy that resonates with viewers.
From childhood, my love for illustrated books and early exposure to contemporary art museums shaped my artistic journey. Embracing surprises, colors, textures, and shapes, I draw inspiration from diverse cultures and global design influences, particularly drawn to countries like Korea and Japan. Beyond art, I relish sunlit walks, hearty breakfasts, video games, cinema visits, and connecting with friends. My ultimate hope is to leave a lasting, joyful impression on young readers through my illustrations, inspiring smiles and memories as they grow.
