Hi there! I'm Charlotte Pepper! I'm originally from Staffordshire but have settled in a cozy village near Market Harborough, Leicestershire. My art boasts a mix of bold, graphic designs and delicate collages, always infused with texture and pattern. Working solely in Photoshop, I kick off my creations with loose pencil sketches to keep the flow organic and prevent overthinking. Drawing inspiration from my daily nature walks with my greyhound, I adore sketching animals, birds, and whimsical landscapes, making each outing a treasure trove of ideas.
I recently joined the StompRoundLeicester Art Trail, painting a 40kg fiberglass elephant for a charity exhibition benefiting LOROS hospice. My elephant raised an impressive £4000, a humbling experience that rekindled my love for traditional paints after focusing on digital art. Collaboration is key in my art process; I strive to deliver top-notch work by blending client input with my flair for character design and vibrant color palettes. With a degree in Surface Pattern from Staffordshire University, my versatile skills span homewares, ceramics, greetings cards, and textiles.
My journey as an artist began early, winning a coloring contest at age 6 and evolving into a passion for whimsical character work and children's book illustration. I infuse a touch of silliness and artistic freedom into my creations, always aiming to bring joy and imagination to my projects. Drawing on found materials and the vibrant outdoors, I craft my art with a playful spirit and dedication to client satisfaction. Even on Sundays, you'll find me immersed in creativity, whether painting furniture or tending to my garden alongside my cherished retired greyhound, Missy, who brightens my studio with her loyal presence.
