Albert Arrayás was born in Barcelona, Spain. As a child, he would spend hours drawing alongside his older sister, as well as during recess and after finishing his homework. He was a big fan of TV shows, and drew scenes and characters from his favourite shows over and over. If you had told young Albert that he would have a career in illustration, and one that was connected to reading, he wouldn’t have believed it.

Albert loves using all kinds of colors—from vibrant and intense to pastel and soft—along with pencil lines. He excels at digital art, especially when emulating traditional art techniques. Clients describe his work as magical, dreamlike, vibrant, fun, tender, and beautiful.

Albert currently lives happily in a village near Barcelona with his wife, two-year-old daughter, five dogs, and two hens. Albert is a lover of animals and nature, and he enjoys drawing anywhere, drinking tea, going for walks, watching animated films, taking care of plants, and reading whenever he can. As a versatile artist, he has worked with a variety of authors and publishers, creating a long list of clients and publishing over 35 books that have been translated into more than 8 languages.

In 2017, he was chosen as one of the 40 most established illustrators in Catalonia when the region was the guest of honor at the Bologna Illustration Fair.
