Born in London, Alec has always been involved with art. A successful career in commercial art allowed him to work in prestigious advertising agencies and design groups. He now devotes his time to his love of painting. His work could be described as skilful handling of line, colour and texture whilst placing the subject into aesthetically formal contexts. He paints in a traditional manner, with a warm toned underpainting resulting in the finished work having a distinctive purity of colour.
