Today’s artist feature is Alex Lopez! Come and have a look at one of our talented artists here at Advocate Art. We love the humorous characters he creates, they really do come to life with his choice of colour and amazing expressions. Born in 1976 in Sabadell, a little city near Barcelona (Spain), I started to draw when I was a child but it wasn’t until my twenties that I consider it as a real profession. I went to a comic-book school and there, apart from learn some drawing techniques, I started to do my first contacts with the professional world of illustration. With more than 10 years as a professional illustrator, my works and books have been published in many countries: France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Turkey... I really enjoy doing comic-books and cartoon style pictures trying to bring life and movement to my creations as if you were looking an animation movie because I love them but I’ve also worked in text books, marketing and videogames most of them for children and teenagers. My colleagues say to me that my work is funny, that I can adapt easy my style and I’m a methodic hard-worker. Which is my secret? Listen to music and eat chocolate!
