Artist Feature Joanne Frost Mar 19 2014

Meet the artists

Have a look at one of Advocate Art's illustrators, Joanne Frost, for today’s artist feature. We love her delicate choice of patterns and textures used to create such beautiful greeting cards. Her pastel colour palette really does compliment her intricate patterns. Her online portfolio is being updated for Bologna have a look at more of her work then! My name is Joanne Frost and I am a Surface Pattern Designer. I was from and raised in the city of Stock-On-Trent in 1992. Some of my first childhood memories are me and my twin sister drawing with my Grandad, he inspired me to become a designer. I won my first drawing competition at the age of 8. After school I did a 2 year course at Leek college where I won student of the year in 2008 then went on to do a BA HONS in Surface Pattern Design at Staffordshire University. Fashion inspires me and I love researching the latest trends, in 2013 I sold a fashion print collection at Premier Vision to a children's wear company in France. I love to draw and paint really detailed objects.
